Freemasonry in Quebec
The end of another year is quickly approaching and we are into the holiday season. This is a time for family and friends. This is the time for some lodges to install new officers and for many lodges to have a Christmas social. My own Thistle Lodge will be having theirs on Saturday Dec.3rd at Saint Honore. We have been blessed this year as we continue to bring in new young members who are very active and want to learn. I have heard similar stories from other lodges as well. We have much to be grateful for this year, and many challenges and hard work to look forward to in the next.
Brethren, instead of writing a controversial editorial, I would like to wish you and your family all the best on this Holiday Season and may next year bring prosperity and health.

Remembers
0n November 10
Nelson # 9 held its annual Remembrance Ceremony held at the
Standbridge Memorial Hall. Attendance included our Most Worshipful
Grand Master John A. Prosnick and his delegation including Deputy
Grand Master RW Bro. Opkar Sandu, and the Grand Director of
Ceremonies RW Bro. Bob McConnell. Among the quests were veterans
from the area and their ladies, as well as a 2nd year Beaver from

Masons Contribute to La
Maison Aube Lumière
 Using some of the
proceeds from the annual St. Francis District Golf Tournament and
with assistance from the Masonic Foundation of Quebec, the brethren
of this district donated $1000 to the well known and highly
respected palliative care institution, La Maison de Aube Lumière, in
Sherbrooke.

Karnak Ladies 80th
Anniversary
 The Karnak Ladies,
the auxiliary of the Canadian Shriners Hospital in Montreal,
celebrated its 80th Anniversary at Karnak Shrine Center on Friday,
October 14th, 2005. Over one hundred guests and members attended the
gala wine and cheese evening. Everyone enjoyed reminiscing,
exchanging memories and meeting new and old friends.

Celebrate Christmas with the Shriners!
The
Potentate Christmas Party will be held on December 2nd.
Grand Master's Visit to Westmount Lodge
On Monday,
5th December 2005 the Grand Master will visit his Lodge, Westmount #76.
Ladies are welcome. The Grand Master should be received around 6:30 PM, so
those attending should be there by 6 PM. A Festive Board at which some
presentations are to be made will follow in the 7th floor dining room at
about 7 PM at a cost of $30 per.
Gordon Parker Jewel Presentation
On Thursday, 8th
December 2005 the Grand Master will visit Lake Magog Lodge #55 to present
the Gordon Parker Jewel to RWBro Ross Beattie, PSGW. Details

Lachute Shriners Christmas Party
The Lachute
Shrine Club will be holding their annual Christmas party on December 13th.
Their installation ceremony will take place the same evening.
