Grand Master enters Shrinedom
The week of the 24th April the Imperial Potentate Gary Dunwoody was in Montreal to visit the Shriner's Hospital and the proposed new site at the Glen Yards.
On Thursday the 27th April a reception was held at Karnak for Imperial Sir Gary Dunwoody with the Grand Master as an invited guest of our Potentate Ill. Sir David Sweeney. During the course of the evening our Grand Master was sworn in as a Shriner and presented his fez, by Imperial Sir. Gary Dunwoody.

Masons to March
As announced at the recent Grand Lodge of Quebec Communication of May 27th, 2006, Most Worshipful Brother John A. Prosnick, Grand Master of all Quebec Freemasons intends to march in full regalia in this year’s Canada Day Parade, to be held on July 1st. M.W. Bro. Prosnick calls upon all Masons who are not otherwise participating as Shriners to join with him in wearing their regalia to march in a long line in front of him down St. Catherine St., in order to build on the growing public awareness of our Craft.

Quebec Brethren Honoured
At the Grand Lodge Communication on May 27th, 2006, R.W. Bro. James Cree, Past-DDGM for District No.1 received two very distinguished honours. The proud Scotsman was named both a Grand Lodge of Quebec Representative to the Grand Lodge of Scotland, but was also recognized as an honorary Grand Junior Warden of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

Newly appointed District Deputy Grand Master for District No. 2, R.W. Br. Ivica Saric, was also named an official Grand Lodge Representative to the Grand Lodge of Croatia at the Grand lodge Communication. Congratulations to both these fine brothers.

Shrine/Mason Booth to be Held at Rodeo
This is a notice to all Masons and Shriners - the Karnak Rodeo will be held on the weekend of August 11th, 12th and 13th 2006 at the Brome Fair Grounds in Brome Village. There will be a special booth setup where the public can receive further information on both Masonry and the Shrine.

A new website has been setup by W. Br. John Taylor-Johnston, webmaster of the Grand Lodge of Quebec website (http://www.glquebec.org/), where Masons can swap/barter goods. The site is located at http://swap.glq.qc.ca/. You can shop around for items you and/or your lodge needs, or post items that you wish to get rid of.
