Donation Made to Knowlton Academy
Ms. Peggy McCourt, Principal of Knowlton Academy, was recently presented with a cheque for two thousand dollars by Worshipful Master J.C. Marchand on behalf of Brome Lake Lodge #35, and the Masonic Foundation of Quebec.

Eastern Townships Shrine Club Chartered
Illustrious Sir David Sweeney, Potentate of the Karnak Shriners presented the Eastern Townships / Estrie Shrine Club with their official charter on July 8th 2006. Many members of the Divan as well as other distinguished guests were on hand for the occasion.

Grand Master to Visit Karnak Rodeo
Most Worshipful Brother John Prosnick will be the special guest of Potentate David Sweeney of the Karnak Shriners at the 2nd Annual Karnak Western and Rodeo Festival on August 12th. The Grand Master is scheduled to attend the rodeo as well as the barbeque dinner following. He will also make a visit to the special Shrine/Mason booth that is being setup at the fair to provide information on both Masonry and the Shrine to the public.

Making the Masonic Temple Financially Self-Supporting
As many brethren will have noted, the Masonic Foundation, which among its other duties is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Temple, have been running into increasing difficulties in balancing revenues with expenses for this work. Over the last several years falling incomes and significant annual increases in all costs have created annual operating deficits.

Masonic Charity At Work
For the year 2005-2006 the Freemasons of Quebec donated over 170,000 to charitable organizations and causes. A spreadsheet of all donations can now be downloaded from this site. Good work, brethren all.

Table Lodge Planned for October
R.W. Bro. Glenmore Brown, DDGM of District Number 3, assisted by all the DDGMs, is organizing a GRAND LODGE TABLE LODGE for Saturday Oct.28 at 19H30 at the Masonic Hall in Grand Lodge at a cost of $35. Tickets will be available through your DDGMs. More information to follow.

The Road to Taba
I thought you would would be interested in these pictures that came from Israel. There is only one road leading from Eilat to the Egyptian border at Taba and the last circle before getting to the border you will find this Masonic Memorial in the middle of the road.
